Creating an Assessment

Only two roles can create new assessments:

  • Assessment Editor — primary creator
  • Super Admin — can do everything
  1. Navigate to Assessments

Go to /admin/assessments or click “Assessments” in the sidebar.

  2. Click ”+ New Assessment”

The green ”+ New Assessment” button is in the top-right corner of the assessments list page.

  3. Fill in the Assessment Form

The assessment creation is a multi-step form covering:

    • Vehicle selection (make, model, year)
    • Adult safety ratings and test results
    • Child safety ratings and test results
    • Safety assist features
    • Overall completion tracking
  4. Save as Draft

The assessment is saved in Draft status. You can return to edit it at any time before submission.

  5. Submit for Review

When the assessment is complete, use the “Submit for Review” button to move it to Under Review status. This sends it to the Assessment Reviewer queue.

  • Search — text search across assessment fields
  • Status — filter by Draft, Under Review, Approved, Published, etc.
  • Adult Rating — filter by star rating
  • Child Rating — filter by star rating

Click “Export CSV” to download the assessment list as a CSV file. Available to Editor, Reviewer, Admin, and Super Admin roles.

Once submitted, the assessment moves to Under Review status:

  • The Editor can no longer edit it (until it’s returned as Re-Edit)
  • The Reviewer can now approve, return, or edit-and-approve
  • See Review Process for next steps

If a Reviewer returns the assessment with comments:

  1. The assessment status changes to Re-Edit
  2. Open the assessment from the list
  3. Review the Reviewer’s comments
  4. Make the requested corrections
  5. Re-submit for review (returns to Under Review status)
